Here are some helpful tips when selecting a suit that will compliment your body shape:

1. Try these styles to help with those problem areas:

  • Small chest size:   Tops with ruffles and horizontal lines create a larger bust, so will a push-up or padded top.

  • Small Bottom: Belted suits or skirts and ruffles, will give your body shape balance.

  • Large chest: Wrap or twist top, halter top. Will trick the eye and keep you in tact.

  • Larger bottom: Solid bottom colors with a printed top will draw the eye up.

  • The muffin top:  Choose dark colors. Look for suits with ribbing fabrics around the middle. Suits with properly positioned seams accentuate curves.

2. Dark Shades and Colors create a slimming effect.

3. Cover-Ups and Wraps. Instead of an old t-shirt or shorts. Try a printed or long cover-up. A tie-up swag will cover the thighs and look flattering.

4. Ruffles and blocks of colors will draw the eye to where you want.

5. Big prints, make you look big. Choose small printed florals or tiny stripes or polka dots.

6. If you like stripes go for a zigzag instead of a horizontal or vertical. This will give a slimming effect.

7. Ribbed fabrics work to hide muffin tops.

8. By wearing your hair up, gives you a longer, leaner look

9. Try a flattering hat. This will direct the attention away from those problem areas.

10. Take your measurements and order true to size. Wearing a size smaller doesn’t make you look smaller.  Allow the suit to do its job in the right size.
